Default Why do I run out of things to say?

Running out of things to say or "going blank" is a huge sticking point of mine ever since I converted into natural game, no scripted routine crap. But as a result everytime I open a group of girls or a lone wolf after my opener I can talk for a minute and then after that if the girls are not trying to keep the conversation going we sit there in an awkward silent moment to the point where she or they will walk away. I've read Orleans conversationalism post and it's great but how are you suppose to pick topics of a sentence if there is no sentence with topics to pick from and if the girls are not trying to push the conversation along?

Example:

Me: Hey how's your night going?

HB7 2 set: Great

Me: So are you guys like identical twins or something?

HB7 2 set: *giggles* No we are just friends

(at this point im in a position where I have to keep asking questions to keep the conversation going and I become "the question guy" and the conversation goes flat because im seeking rapport way to early and hence the girls turn there backs towards me aka blowout and yes im using kino on the opener so thats not an issue)

My wingman who is a natural and does'nt know about the game always pulls a girl from the club. I watch him talk to girls and he never ever runs out of things to say, his mouth is always moving if we go into a 2 set together and he is talking to one girl and im talking to the other I always am the one who "goes blank" while he is doing awesome with his girl. I asked him about what he says to girls that he keeps the conversation moving and he says the same thing always "I say whatever is on my mind" yea but what if there is nothing on my mind to say? "if how I stepped on a nail earlier pops into my head I will talk about it" Thats what he told me.

Thanks for your input!
