Most places have community have adult/kid fun courses, mostly through parks and recreation, libraries, etc. I've got fliers for those every place I lived. And when you take classes first night they always get everyone to introduce themselves. My standard:
Me: Hi I'm Zudnic and I'm an alcoholic
room laughs.
Me: Why are you laughing! Thought groups are supposed to be non judgmental? Anyway (looking annoyed)
more laughs and then go into why you are taking the course because new to area and want to make new friends, meet more people, etcetera. Make it like your still doing an AA meeting. Works best for acting class. Establish that you are a confident actor. |
