I get asked that question a lot. My PU is mostly while on business travel at hotels.
Girl: Where you from?
Me: Do you know any towns outside Seattle?
Girl: No not really.
Me: So why the F*ck did you ask! (big smile)
Most find this funny, especially hotel lounge bartenders. Did this in Hollywood with the bartender at the hotel. Another tourist from Britain used the line on a girl he started talking with. Worked well for that guy, he came back and tried helping me with the bartender! Who I got the date with by suggesting an alternate to the Brits idea she should take me clubbing......... How bout dinner at the Hotel instead! Next morning the valets very impressed that I got a date from that girl! Nobody ever did that before!
Its all really about being opposite of what most half decent girls have come to expect. Take today closed a "date" for tonight. Two girls and one guy!
Coffee girl: Have you seen the new Batman?
Me: no but I really want to see it.
Coffee girl: Brother saw it says its awesome. I'm going tonight!
Me: oh its playing here. (small town one theater)
Coffee girl: yeah Friday.
Me: oh its plays Friday. I don't like going to movie openings on Fridays.
Coffee girl: no started last Friday. Thats how my Brother saw it and says its the best one ever. I'm going tonight at 7!
Me: Thats too early for me.
Coffee girl: yeah you should come with us.
Me: would but I don't want to make your boyfriend jealous. I'm a lover not a fighter........
Coffee girl: No with my cousin Andrea. We'll be a threesome!
Me: Hey know I need to be wined and dined a couple times before that! Batman as FRIENDS at 7 is a good start though. So I'll pick you girls up where?
Intrigue comes from not giving expected answers. Both examples picked up in my head both girls are interested or they would not say those things. Kept them interested by not giving typical answers!
