FR: Need advice on my approach

Hey guys, I am doing street game and here is today's approach. I was a little rusty since I haven't been approaching.

I am on campus and see a hot girl walking towards me as I am walking the other way. She has her ipod on so I am thinking of not approaching, but she's f'n hot so I decide to go for it.

Me: Can I ask you a question real quick?
Her: (can't hear me, but takes off her headphones and stops)
Me: Are you single?
Her: Yes (she seems shocked though)
Me: I just wanted to meet you, I'm Agent Zero.
Her: (I forget)
Me: You seem weirded out
Her: No, I've just never been stopped like this before.
Me: Are you going to class?
Her: No, I'm going home
Me: Well you seem like you are in a rush, have a nice day.
Her: Bye

I just wasn't getting a vibe which is why I ejected. I think the biggest problem is that she didn't hear me ask "can I ask a question real quick?". They are usually shocked when I ask my question so it helps to be able to prepare them for it a little bit. You don't have to tell me the convo was boring, I just wasn't getting a vibe from her. She wasn't rejecting me, but she wasn't committed to the conversation. I actually think she may have been interested, but was so taken off guard by my directness.

Street game is tough man! It's so hard to stop moving targets. I want to come up with a less shocking opener, but it's not easy.

I like the direct day opener:

(not "hot" or "fine"..but "totaly cute" works well, too)

You always get a great response, and then you can go into some kind of rapport question, or whatever and vibe off of that.. Just keep it real, and honest. Props to the guys at PickupPodcast for their help with this one for me. If nothing else, you just made HER day a whole lot brighter..and I haven't once yet had a drink thrown in my face after this one..

I'm guessing you didn't have a real plan other than to use that opener?

It really didn't havent anything to do with what words you should of asked with.

You said "I wanted to meet you."

well, did you stick to it? You wanted to meet her, and I'm guessing that means that you wanted to chill with her, but instead you ejected because you didn't feel a vibe.

When I first started, at first I didn't get a vibe and it was pretty shaky after I approached her cause my game wasn't there yet... but what I did was I went along with it, and persisted, then the vibe came.

Keep on with talking to her, if she brushes you off, then leave, but don't leave cause you didn't feel a "vibe" or "chemistry" right away at the moment you approach her, persist and then it'll come.
