One way I've been working on my inner game lately is to check my motivation whenever I want something... If my motivation is to impress women or to get validation then I give it up or find a deeper motivation. For example: you want to be a musician. Because you love music or because musicians are sexy? If musicians weren't sexy would you still pursue music? You want a new car. Are you thinking about how you'll look in the car? How impressed women will be by it etc.? It's okay to have style and like something that pleases you aesthetically but don't let this be the driving force. You want to fuck that girl at work. Is it because you really want to have sex with her or is it so you can feel like you're the kind of guy that a girl like her would want? Or are you thinking about telling your friends about it...or feeling better about things with your ex-girlfriend maybe... I think a lot of guys get into this community because we want success with women but there comes a stage where success with women becomes secondary to other aspects of your life. This is where the power really comes from. In everything else in life, we're taught that if we want something badly enough and devote time, energy and attention to it we're more likely to succeed. Pickup and relationships is different because success becomes a sort of bi-product of having a good life. If you're new to the community then this stage is inevitable - you can't just give up your desire for validation like that. But by becoming aware of it, its power diminishes.

Hey bossyboots, Just want to say, I really like the way you think and the way you express ideas, man. You're so right on about getting clarity about real motivations. I asked myself while reading the post, "If I fucked this perfect 10 model and no one in the world...not a single solitary person found out about it, would I still be motivated to game her and make it happen?" I got a surprising answer. Thanks for making me think. I'm new to posting on this forum and have just signed up for an upcoming Drills workshop, so my journey is just starting to accelerate. Having solid posts like yours definitely helps keep it real. Keep up the tight posts. Regards, Spuck

A very good post, I think it should be marked as a sticky post because its well written and gives a clear advice on a fundamental issue mostly forgotten. And no inner game works unless you have your motivation clear. /Flow
