| Hey, I did some Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with a psychologist and it really helped pull my inner game together. The behaviour stuff works on how to set long and short term goals, how to expand your comfort zone. And the cognitive stuff teaches you tools to examine your thoughts, assumptions and beliefs and become aware of how they affect your mood. I used to mess up with women the moment AFTER I thought I'd messed up. I'd interpret her behaviour as rejection (because of my beliefs about myself..fears...and assumptions) and do something to show my neediness. I learned to stop assuming I know what a woman's thinking and just enjoy the interaction. There's a book called Mind Over Mood which is quite good for anyone interested - it's a workbook you can do on your own. Zach |

| I found an audio course online that was Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Social Anxiety. It was intended for a condition more severe than what we call Approach Anxiety, but I thought there would be some application. Just got through the first lesson and it was interesting so far, sort of like NLP. I will try to post a review once I get finished with it. Thanks for the recommendation! |
