| Hi all- What a strange week. Last Thursday I happened upon "The Pick-up Artist" on VH1 and now here I am joining Vin DiCarlo's message forum. I gotta admit my first reaction to this PUA stuff was skepticism. I figured it was probably just a money making scam and anyone who is a PUA is probably just naturally cool and good looking or is scoring nasty chicks. Well, my first impressions of the gurus cured some of those ideas right away! I won't say which ideas...haha. Seriously though, I was impressed with the way Mystery took a scientific approach to the whole thing. The ideas of opening sets, negging, creating attraction, etc., seemed to have some basis and rang true to a degree with my own personal experience. I thought, "They're actually onto something here," and the seed was planted. I immediately got online and learned about "The Game" and Mystery's book. I hit the bookstore on my way home and picked up both. I blazed through the Game to get an overview of this whole scene. But, I got bored after a while. As a novel I don't think it's that compelling. I guess I was more interested in methodology so I started to plow through TMM. The concepts are pretty amazing at first. Ignoring the target, winning over the group, creating attraction. I liked it. But, the more I thought about putting it into practice the more I felt weird about it. Plus, it seemed to come from the mindset that you know absolutely nothing about talking to girls. You have to use scripted material just to talk to them. Was I really going to be that guy? As I kept looking online I learned about Vin. His ideas really make sense to me and I think the Natural Game approach is the way to go. I currently have no game. I just try to vibe with girls and get them laughing. Sometimes it leads to a hookup, sometimes it doesn't. Before now I really had no clue why. I feel like I'm starting to see the light. I'm excited to start using Vin's ideas. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do a bootcamp anytime soon since I'm in NYC and there aren't any scheduled here. I guess I'll have to go it alone for now. Anyhow, I look forward to getting to know you all. SW |

| Everyone's skills and talents are different. The book "The Game" was a good one for an introduction. Note that there is always something to learn from everyone, no matter hoe innocuous. If you really do want to learn, read everything and apply what pertains to you. |
