Mystery on Conan O'Brien

Maybe it's just my opinion but a year or so from now I dont see the M3 model being as effective as it was when Style and others first got into the game.

It was interesting to watch him on TV, but I felt a bit sad that Mystery didn't realize that he was supposed to entertain on the show, more than explain his philosophy. If he wanted to explain his stuff, he should have presented himself more "mainstream" so that people could identify with him.

I wonder if he realized that he was being made fun of...

Conan was being a clown and it was funny. I don't know if it was pre-setup like that or not but for Mystery to come in with goggles and binoculars he was asking for it.

Pretty sure everyone thought he was a total loser. I felt sad when Mystery said "you don't have to dress like a clown." and everyone burst into laughter because Mystery WAS DRESSED LIKE A FUCKIN CLOWN. Mystery is a great guy... he can pcik up way better than I'll ever be able to, but he takes himself WAY too seriously. Somebody teach him how to DQ already!

Thanks for posting the clip - my man Brian called and told me about it, unfortunately I couldn't catch the show.

Mystery did great, IMO -- but Conan did a bit better, but that's to be expected.

I thought he was dressed pretty well, (I mean it sure beats the 'bumble bee' outfit, LOL) but yeah, Conan took some cheap shots with the goggles. (Get out of the house, wear goggles, take her to SEX location, hahaha)

I got tipped off at 12 and had a chance to watch it...I felt embarrassed for the guy. Maybe it will be good press for him, but you're right, he takes himself waaaaay too seriously.

It's interesting...did anyone notice that Conan has a lot of what might be considered "natural game." He DQ's himself, teases others in a warm fun way, and gives approval from power. He has a deep, unaffected sense of happiness and self-esteem, and sees the humor in everything. He's also really good at subtly delving into people's inner selves and getting them to be vulnerable. And he definitely seemed like the more interesting, charming, attractive guy.

conan o brien was in his home, he's the host and he was out to ravish him.

Mystery had a sense of unreactiveness and coolness towards a guy taking any and every chance he could get to make a complete fool out of him..

And he failed... mys was awesome....
All that goggle stuff , the binoc stuff, the get out of the house stuff.
him constantly trying to project over mys or breaking him off and completely misinterpet and rape the words he said into something ridiculous.

And mystery deflected almost all of it and even got a few good ones in himself.
Conan had a few good hits, and yeah i gotta give it to the guy, it was definatly funny.
but mys held an amount of emotional unreactiveness and verbal unreactiveness to those threads.
He was real gracefull i think....


i doubt everybody thinks hes a loser simply because he comes across as strong and real... hes not being super entertainy, hes not being goofy, hes not being super macho or sleazy or any other weird stereotype.
he comes across just real chill and together. dressed in a way that draws attention but i tought it worked for him, like vin said thank god he didnt put on the bee outfit now that wouldve killed.

besides that fuck what the audiance thinks, how people perceive things for the most has to do with themselves and their own filters and blindspots.

Conan tried to dominate mys, but it just didnt happen. It definatly took alot of skill in that setting.

I watched it.. my friend downloaded the whole episode, I think that may be the only way to get it.. look on bittorrent or something..

I like Mystery he seems cool, but I don't like his method.. too complicated.. I liked him more on this show because he seemed more real and not performing..

I also found Style on Jimmy Kimmel on youtube after watching it.. he doesn't seem cool at all! I hadn't seen much footage of him before.. and I really don't like him.. the image he presents his voice or anything.. of course he has much more game than me.. but I just wouldn't want to learn it to end up like him.. something about him seems really fake, and really feminine..

I am into the more natural game of embracing your masculinity like Vin, Badboy, Player Supreme etc..

I thought Mystery came off cool as hell on the interview and did a good job.

Very camera savvy and nice embedded command, actually almost direct.

I feel both Style and Mystery came off great. I've watched a lot of late night talk and these guys were both interesting and compelling. Maybe it's something they've practiced for other areas of their lives ?

And they gave the host something to work with and riff off of.

And I think Style chatted up Jessica Alba well. How many guys can honestly say they would not have been blithering idiot's? Kimmel's bookers did that one on purpose, for sure.

Jesus man cut the guy a break thats just who he is. His voice is like that and he actually took voice lessons so I could only imagine how he sounded before.
It doesn't matter if a guy is somewhat feminine or Dandy like or whatever, it's
just a small part of who he is. Style is actually cool and laid back. I used to talk to him a lot on MySpace before everyone decided to be his friend. I'm sure a bit of his success has actually given him an aura of arrogance but still

Just saw the clip on youtube. Had not seen him before, or read so much about him. But he came of as cool and likeable, and had a strong frame. I think o´brian was more the clown.

Wish he had been more assertive, and explained more of the ideas though. Now o´brian was making everything to make a joke out of it, and since the audience never got any understanding of what mystery was about, they laughed out of ignorance.

Style was semi-cool but did a good job to I think. Only wish he didnt tried to take distance from the community in order not to be judged himself... they do this, they do that, they have routines... to the audience he WAS the community, so it was just silly. Jessica seemed interested about it
