Here's a video clip that I thought was pretty interesting:

It's a video clip of Derren Brown, who is an expert at using NLP, approaching a stranger on the street and gets his keys, wallet, and watch just by asking for them. I wonder if what he does has a lot of similarities to what we do in pickup.

Anyone have any thoughts on how he actually did the scam? It's a pretty interesting video clip.

Dude I LOVE Derren Brown -

He's a huge inspiration to me actually.

Russian Scam is a great one - for many people, that's their favorite Derren brown video - his mirroring is on point - and then check out how he escalates compliance immediately once he is given just a tiny bit - he's got a great rhythm. The guy holds his water (window of opportunity) then BAM - gets his watch, his wallet, etc while the guy's conscious mind is preoccupied....

I got inspired on seeing darrens video in which he convinces the other person that the other person likes BMX bike.I tried using NLP on my cousins sis and convinced her that the earrings and chain i got for her.. was the gift she really needed the most on her Bday.I am not sure whether what i did work or that anyways she was gonna love the present as it was some amazing silver jewellery! LOL

Darrens pickup video is really crazy... and i though he was reading their minds.. any ideas Vin,what he is using here to lead the mind of the girls here????

I have seen a Ross Jeffries video in which he correctly guesses which part of USA (she was from midwest) the girl has cum from ? Vin any ideas how he did that?

I think Darren Brown uses some covert hypnosis. I wonder if covert hypnosis could help a lot in pickup.

Very interesting stuff. Cold reading works charms for pick-up. Funny story, I met a girl sitting beside me on a boat last week (I opened her up with some situational relevant stuff), and turns out she's studying homeopathy. She started guessing what type of person I was, and I was hooked, feeling like she hit my personality traits on the spot (though some guesses were wrong, you just remember what was right).

I would realize later though that she's good at this because of her work, this is how she diagnose people to see what kind of remedies would be good for them. And she's already convinced me that I need these remedies, without even having to pursuade me too (I literally looked in her bag to ask her what she had in there before she started analyzing me). Powerful stuff....

If you like Derren's stuff, you should really check out his latest book "Tricks of the Mind." It's a fascinating read, looking at NLP, memory improvement, card tricks, mind reading and other little gems. It lets you into some of his secrets and also allows the reader to participate as Derren sets little challenges and things to try throughout the book. I'm not sure if it's out in the US but I know Play (www.play.com) have it at the moment for £5.99 (about $10) - not 100% sure if they ship overseas though, but check it out.
