Thoughts on Mystery's VH1?

What do you guys think about this?

Personally I'm just feeling that canned openers wouldn't work anymore... but other than that it shouldn't prevent anyone from being charismatic, and outgoing.

My fear is that it'll push other artists to get on reality TV and eventually become this whole commercialized thing.

It's already commercialized. I believe that most of the guys who are able to be PUA's are already in the Community, beacuse if you have a desire for this, you would already have found it.

With most of the PUA Gurus being self validating junkies, who want's to make alot of money, of course there gonna be alot of TV shows. Gurus like Mehow posting videos on his site, "look how cool i am, picking up chicks, please love me". PUA battles on MTV sponsored by Mountain Dew! Yeah!

And there are also gonna be shows by angry fat feminists firing back at the community, and fat feminists appearing on Oprah! Yeah!

This whole community seems more and more like a joke, and there are not many people with integrity left. The few gurus i still respect are not found in the U.S.

In my country we had a book like the game several years ago, including a how to book. We also had a reality show.

My country is a whole lot smaller than the U.S, so everybody knew about it. I don't know anyone who have not read the book, boy or girl.

In Italia & France guys are natural players, cus people hang out an socialize, instead of sitting inside. And it's not like there's any problem.

Could it be possible that Mystery is going to use VH1 to exploit the MM Inc. Since they have this little feud going on about the rights to Mystery's name. Mystery may be giving out the latest MM Inc. canned material on television to get back at them? Just a thought (conspiracy theory)

haha thats funny, never heard that one before.

If a girl does not study pick up...she won't know she is being picked up.

Even if she does know about it and studies it, it still works

The line "can i get a female opinion on somthing" may be thrown in with other basic pick up lines and be well know. But thats it.

Also I dont know about you...but all the girls I sarge are out tanning in the summer, not sitting at home watching VH1

This show is going to be advertised for guys anyways.

Apparently, mystery's show was in the works for a while(way before the split from MM Inc.) Mystery just wants to be famous. Besides, i do not think that he will release all canned material on tv. the afcs who feature on the show must become good PUAs if they expect to be trained by mystery and his crew.

I dont believe that mystery has come up with new canned material because all of his new crew has worked for the old mm inc anyway.

in fact, everyone is stilling his canned material, not the otherway round.

I've experienced this as well. I met a girl very shortly after I started studying David D's stuff. I applied everything I'd learned and we hooked up. She was scheduled to move away a few days later and she did. A couple of months later, she told me she was reading this book called The Game by Neil Strauss. I went down to the States to visit her and read her copy while I was there.

At one point she said "yeah, I just don't think that stuff would work on me. I'm too intelligent. Although they say it works even better on more intelligent women." I had to suppress a smile.

Although, I saw and heard about her twice levelling guys who tried too hard to throw down game with her. One guy said "you know _____, I could never marry a girl like you" She knew the guy and just told him to f**k off. The second guy was my former roommate and he tried to bust on her but it wasn't that funny. It was just plain rude. Boy did he do some back-pedalling.

I NEVER used canned (as in other people's canned material) because you never know when someone could be using even a not well know line - all it would take is someone else in my city on thei board to fuck up an otherwise good line.

It has been funny though watching all the morons in my town trying lines from the show - like girls don't watch vh1?! Write your own stuff!

My view on canned openers is they will go the way of "what is your sign?"

Think about it, "what is your sign" (or a variant) would probably be a "canned opener" if it wasn't so cheesy. Why is it cheesy? Because it is overused, became a classic even. Likewise, canned material itself isn't what is bad. It is being unoriginal and boring that is bad.
